Handmade Omaha Spring Cyber Show

 

After careful consideration, we have decided to hold our annual Spring Art & Craft Bazaar online this year. 

The vendor application is available here, and is open through February 28th. No late applications will be considered. 

We are looking for local, established sellers with an active online presence and experience shipping and/or delivering their goods. The most successful vendors are active participants. We hope for the Spring show to be a collaborative effort between local makers, and Handmade Omaha.

Gotta Be Me is All-Abilites. This means some members have a medical diagnosis of a disability and some do not. Together we are becoming the best we can be - we say better, not better than, because that is what we are moving toward - better selves, not better than anyone else.
Gotta Be Me has found a way to make an art impact while still social distancing to keep everyone safe. They painted an amazing new mural called "From the SKY to the SEA I Gotta Be ME" and amazing flying birds on their building and fences at 5108 Pine Street, Omaha NE 68106.
Gotta Be Me has done more than 7,500 program hours on Zoom since March - that is A LOT of learnin' and growin' and they couldn't be happier to be able to offer programs from how to make the best chocolate chip cookie to how to draw animals to how to set good boundaries and how to be a good friend.


Making and selling art allows us to learn and practice real world, real life, real job skills - like customer service skills, business skills, website management, money handling, shipping and general social skills.

Tee Gravy specializes in Tasty Tees for a limited time, but will open up the Gravy buffet of past designs for the show! Teegravy has a mascot named Shady. Shady was the very first TeeGravy shirt & is part of their logo. Fun Fact: If you look hard enough you will find him hidden in every single t-shirt design. All of TeeGravy’s shirts are printed right here in Omaha (LaVista actually) by Greg Stuttle of Stuttle Screenprinting.

Lulubee Chocolates is a Lincoln-based start-up that bubbled from Gaylene Steinbach’s passion for the craft of small-batch, artisanal chocolates. Her passion ignited when she received a box of gorgeous chocolates as a gift from her mom. “The chocolates looked almost too pretty to eat,” she tells, “but as a family of foodies, I knew we had to try them.” So, she pulled out a knife and cut each bon bon into four pieces so everyone could have a nibble. “The flavors were ah-maze-ing and I was hooked—I had to figure out how these beautiful and delicious chocolates were made!”

Much of Katie's art features the big creatures of the past and present Great Plains (from dinosaurs and mammoths to bison and deer).
Katie uses a really broad array of media to create her art: hand-cut paper, paint, pen, toys, and screen printing ink. Katie's bright, fun art really shows off her love of color, texture, and the Great Plains region. As a newer artist on the scene, this is Katie's first time at Handmade Omaha. She launched her official business in January 2020. When not making art, you can find Katie playing ultimate frisbee, swing dancing, and hanging next to a bonfire.
